Five Pillars of Islam

They are: first Declairing that there is No God EXCEPT Allah & that Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him) is the messenger of Allah. The second Pillar is Sallat, which is praying five times a day. Third Pillar is Saum, which means Fasting during the month of Ramadan.

Zakat is the the fourth Pillar; Giving and Distribution of annual prescribed Charity and poor due. Hajj fulfillsthe fifth Pillar of Islam; a performance of pilgrimage to Makkah in Saudi Arabia at least once in one's lifetime, if he or she is capable of undertaking the journey.

Millions of Muslims from all over the World gather under the open skies, on and around Mount Arafat to pray, visit the mosque of The Last Prophet, and ask for Allah's forgiveness. The Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was quoted as saying: (He who performs Hajj with no obscenity or evil practices, will come out as a newly born baby; free from all sins.)

Meeting, knowing and communicating with as many sons and daughters of Adam as possible during any such journey, is surely an experience of a lifetime. That is perhaps what might urge us all to communicate in an understandable language, to get closer to each other!

"Surely, those who believe,
those who are Jewish,
the Christians the converts;
anyone who believes in GOD
and believes in the Hereafter,
and leads a righteous life,
will receive their recompense from their Lord;
they have nothing to fear,
nor will they grieve."                                                  Quran 5:69 and 2:62

As you might allready know, we consider every believer in God Almighty a Muslim, who believes also in all prophets and messengers of Allah, from Abraham to Moses and Jesus; the son of Mary. Islamic conference delegates representing one billion & two hundred million Muslims recently declared the need for understanding and good relations between people.
